Dead Rising 4, the latest installement in the zombie survival video game franchise will get its first update on January 30, nearly two months after its release on Xbox One and Windows 10. In a blog post published today on Xbox Wire, Bryce Cochrane, Executive Producer at Capcom Vancouver explained that the upcoming patch will bring several bug fixes as well as some interesting new content.

First of all, the game will get two new game difficulty modes with new achievements to go with them. “Frank will need to be a lot more careful and aware of his surroundings when trying to survive on a higher difficulty. Enemies do more damage; Frank’s weapons break faster and food restores less health than before,” explained Cochrane.

The second addition is the free Street Fighter outfit pack, offering players five new outfits from the cult-classic fighting game franchise created by Capcom thirty years ago. You can see some of these cool outfits in the image below:

If you’d like to try the game before purchasing it, Cochrane also announced that a 60-minute trial will be available on the Xbox One starting January 31. The time trial experience will allow gamers to play all game modes (multiplayer included), earn achievements and carry their saved game progress if they decide to buy the full game afterwards. Lastly, German consumers will be able to purchase the game on the Microsoft Store starting January 31, while physical versions of the game will be available at select retailers in late February.

Dead Rising 4 is a timed-exclusive on Xbox One and Windows 10, but Capcom Vancouver seems satisfied with players’ engagement so far. “Since Dead Rising 4 released on Dec. 6, players have killed over seven billion zombies, eclipsing the population of planet Earth. You’ve also taken over three million photos and selfies, eclipsing most of the Kardashian family on any given weekend,” shared Cochrane. Let us know in the comments if you’re excited by this upcoming update.
