Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt won’t be able to ship the patch 1.2 for the game this month. A couple of minutes ago, the company announced on Twitter that the recent cyberattack that hit the studio and the scope of the update have unfortunately made it impossible to ship this new patch in due time.
“Our goal for Patch 1.2 goes beyond any of our previous updates. We’ve been working on numerous overall quality improvements and fixes, and we still have work to do to make sure that’s what you get. With that in mind, we’re now aiming for release in the second half of March,” the studio said on Twitter.

Since its disastrous release on December 10, Cyberpunk has already received a couple of hotfixes, but the patch planned for February was expected to bring more significant changes. As of this writing, Sony has yet to bring back the game to its online PlayStation Store, a clear sign that the game still isn’t in good enough shape to run properly on base PlayStation 4 consoles.
CD Projekt Red still has a lot of things in the pipeline for Cyberpunk 2077 this year, including free DLCs. The game is also expected to get a multiplayer mode at some point, though the extent of the bugs and performance issues that are still present in the game means that it probably won’t arrive anytime soon.
