Comic forecasts Apple's reinvention of the Microsoft Surface

The recent unveiling of the iPad Pro got me wondering. Does anyone realize that Apple just copied Microsoft? The iPad Pro is a dead ringer. A few days ago, The Verge uncovered a comic, called “Surface Tension ” by Joel Watson. In the comic, Steve Ballmer is depicted as touting the Surface as a great device in 2012, only to be mocked by the audience. Later, at WWDC 2015 no less, Tim Cook presents the same type of device to rave reviews and claiming Apple invented it.

After reviewing the iPad Pro specs, I am sure that Apple knows how versatile the Surface Pro 3 and Surface 3 are and wants to try to compete with Microsoft. The Surface Pro 3 and Surface 3 have many things that the iPad Pro does not; a USB port, HDMI output, microSD expansion slot; the list goes on. While the iPad Pro does have LTE connectivity, that alone may not be enough to compete, but we’ll have to wait and see.
