Appoints Virtualisation Start-up Expert Daniel Power as UK Country Manager
Reading, December 21, 2010 – Spamina, a fast-growing player in the global email security market, has announced it is expanding its business model into the UK. Spamina’s products allow small and medium enterprises (SME) as well as large corporations and managed service providers (MSP) to ensure email perimeter security via private, public and hybrid cloud-based solutions.
Spamina will offer UK resellers an industry-leading cloud-based email security platform, consisting of its Spamina Email Service and Email Firewall solutions that have been successfully deployed at thousands of businesses around the world.
To lead its expansion into the UK, Spamina has appointed virtualisation specialist Daniel Power as UK country manager. In this role, he will be responsible for introducing Spamina to UK resellers and MSPs as the company continues to build on its global success that has seen sales of over ten million mailboxes worldwide.
Power brings more than 25 years’ experience building new markets for emerging brands in the UK. He most recently worked as sales manager at VDI distributor CDG, providing distribution support, consultancy and localised virtual vendor presence to companies across the UK. Previously, he has held senior management positions at software providers LANDesk, KACE and PowerQuest.
Power said: “UK firms are well aware of the security risks to corporate email, and as such represent one of the most lucrative markets in Europe for email security solutions. However, to date, most firms have adopted point solutions that provide a piecemeal and hard-to-manage approach to the problem.
