A new, immersive chess game is arriving on Xbox One and Xbox One S this Spring 2017. Chess Ultra aims to bring “intuitive online play” while offering “a variety of game modes.”

Details on Chess Ultra are slim right now, however, Microsoft is dubbing Chess Ultra, developed by RIPSTONE, the “best looking chess game in the world.” It is expected to offer online multiplayer support through Xbox Live, so that you can play chess without being in the same room as your opponent.
No gameplay has been shown yet but the release is planned for this Spring.
