Microsoft introduced the entry-level Lumia 550 last October along with the company’s flagship Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Initially, the handset was priced at $139, but you’ll be glad to know that Microsoft has slashed the price of the Lumia 550 to just $99, a discount of 29 percent on its official price (first spotted via Neowin).

As a quick recap, Microsoft Lumia 550 comes with a 4.7-inch display sporting a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels resolution, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. There’s 8GB of internal storage, 5MP rear camera with autofocus for photos and videos, 2MP front-facing camera, a 2100 mAh battery and ships with Windows 10 Mobile as its operating system out of the box. Unfortunately, it doesn’t bring all the goodies Windows 10 Mobile has to offer, especially Continuum, which requires high-end specifications.
