Digital pre-orders open for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla video game on Xbox One consoles

The highly-anticipated upcoming entry in the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, is now available to pre-order digitally on Microsoft’s family of Xbox One consoles.

While the pre-order for the Xbox Series X version of Valhalla, like the pre-order for every other Xbox Series X video game, has yet to go live, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is supporting Microsoft’s Smart Delivery initiative which means that buying the Xbox One version will unlock the Xbox Series X version for free.

So basically, pre-ordering the Xbox One version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the same as doing a pre-order for the Xbox Series X version.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set during the Dark Ages and revolves around Vikings. Three digital versions are available with pre-orders for each unlocking the bonus The Way of the Berserker mission in the game.

The regular version contains just the main game while the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Gold Edition also features the season pass for all post-launch downloadable content (DLC). The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ultimate Edition comes with everything in the Gold Edition plus a variety of exclusive in-game content such as additional runes, weapons, and a ship.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set for release on November 17th on Xbox One. With the Xbox Series X console due for release around that time, it’s likely that that the Xbox Series X version will come out around then as well.
