If you live in the UK and you are looking to buy the HP Elite x3, then you might want to consider trading in your old mobile phone. HP is now offering up a trade in program where you can save up to £500 on the HP Elite x3. (via Neowin.)

According to the official trade in program page, from March 6th to April 30th, you can “trade up” to the HP Elite x3. To qualify, you first need to purchase a qualifying HP Elite X3 from a participating HP Authorized reseller and then complete the online claim form within 30 days of your purchase date. You must then end the trade in process by packing up your old device and sending it out to HP.  Reward values and eligible devices for trade-in include the following.

  • iPhone 7 or Galaxy S7 / S7 edge: £500.00
  • Any iPhone 6S or 6S Plus or Galaxy S6 Edge: £400.00
  • Any iPhone 6 or any Galaxy S6: £300.00
  • Any iPhone 5 or Galaxy S5: £200.00
  • Nokia Lumia 950 / 950 XL: £125.00
  • Any other Nokia Lumia or any other smartphone:£100.00

It is worth noting that a few conditions apply to the trade-in program. For instance, devices must not be more than 3 years old, must have all user accounts removed, and must be carrier-unlocked. It’s also definitely interesting to see that HP choose to include Lumia’s and Microsoft’s Lumia 950 and 950 XL on the list of eligible devices.
