Bing News and Xbox Music apps for Windows 8.1 receive welcomed updates

Microsoft has rolled out two new app updates, one for Bing News and the other for Xbox Music. Microsoft has yet to publish the change log for both apps, but it appears that both apps received minor updates addressing bugs.

“The beautiful, photo-rich Bing News app makes it easy for you to stay up to date with what’s happening in the world. Designed for Windows, the News app puts control at your fingertips. Swipe through for a quick read of the headlines. Go deep with personalized coverage of the topics you’re passionate about. Or, search the day’s stories from your choice of trusted sources from around the world,” the News app description reads.

“Xbox Music brings you all the music you love in one simple app. Play and manage music from your personal collection and browse and buy songs from Xbox Music. Instantly stream millions of songs free on your Windows 8/Windows RT device. Or get an Xbox Music Pass for unlimited access to music across all your devices,” the Music app description reads.

You can grab both updated apps via the download link below. So far, we’ve noticed a performance improvement in both apps. Try them out and let us know if you notice any new features or improvements.
