When the Xbox One launched late last year and brought an innovative new search with it. The console utilizes a combination of Bing and Kinect to find games, music and videos on your gaming box. However, there is always room for improvement, and today Microsoft is rolling out another feature for that search.
The Xbox One update, which is currently rolling out to customers, adds the ability for the search feature to find web results as well. “Now any time you search with ‘Xbox Bing’, you will receive results from our expansive marketplace as well as relevant items from the web”, the Bing team announces.
In addition, there are enhancements for those using Internet Explorer. When visiting a website, you can highlight a word, or line of text, and press the menu button to fire up Bing search and find information relevant to what you have indicated.
Microsoft also promises even better voice search. “Now any time you search with “Xbox Bing,” you will receive results from our expansive marketplace as well as relevant items from the web”, the company states.
