Holiday shopping 2021: The best Windows 11 laptops you can buy

Arif Bacchus

If you’re looking to buy a new laptop this holiday season, you might want to consider one that comes with Windows 11 pre-installed since it is the latest and greatest OS from Microsoft. You might also want to buy a laptop with Windows 11 pre-installed if your old one isn’t officially compatible with the new operating system. Well, we’ve put together our list of some of our favorite Windows 11 devices, in hopes of helping you buy the right one.

Lenovo Slim 7 Carbon

At the top of our list is the Lenovo Slim 7 Carbon. This laptop weighs just 2.37 pounds, and packs in AMD Ryzen 7 5800U Series mobile  processors, integrated AMD Radeon graphics , or optional NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU. The laptop even has an OLED panel, with narrow bezels and a 90 Hz refresh rate. This brings Windows 11’s animations to life and will make your movies and other content look more vibrant.

Acer Aspire Vero

The Acer Aspire Vero was one of the first Windows 11 laptops to be released, and there’s a ton of value in it for the $900 price. It sports a spacious 15.6-inch display and has 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. The laptop also has a unique design, where it’s made from recycled materials. Not to forget, it has the latest 11th generation Intel processors under the hood. Acer also uses standard screws on the device, so you can upgrade your storage as well as the RAM.

Dell XPS 13

We recently reviewed the XPS 13, and it’s currently one of the best Windows 10 laptops on the market. Dell also offers a Windows 11 option at checkout, though, which is why we’re adding it to the mix. Visually, this laptop is hard to beat with its Infinity Edge display and a woven glass and carbon fiber interior. It’s also sporting 11th gen processors, too, so it remains quite a good-performing device.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360

Third on the list is the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360. This laptop now comes with a Windows 11 option at checkout, and it’s quite luxurious for $1,000. The device sports a big 15.6-inch FHD AMOLED display to make your moves come to life and has Intel’s latest processors just like every other laptop on our list. It’s also a convertible, so you can flip it around, and ink on the screen with the optional Samsung SPen.

HP Spectre x360 2-in-1

As we roll down our list to more expensive laptops, we land on the HP – Spectre x360 2-in-1. This laptop is hefty at $1,630 for Black Friday, but it does have specs that are worth the price. You’ll be getting an immersive slim-bezel OLED touch screen, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Like the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360, it’s also a convertible, so you can fold it over and use it as a tablet if you see fit.

Surface Laptop Studio

We’re now on Microsoft’s own flagship Windows 11 device, the Surface Laptop Studio. We recently reviewed this device and found that even though it’s quite expensive at $2,100, it’s one of the best Windows 11 laptops you could buy. There are multiple modes of use, from Stage Mode to Studio Mode, to Laptop Mode, which adds value for the money. Oh, and there’s even an Nvidia RTX 3050Ti graphics card inside the device, so you can enjoy games on it.

Surface Pro 8

We end our list with the Surface Pro 8. Again, another flagship (but expensive) Windows 11 device, you’re enjoying the latest and greatest from Microsoft if you buy the Pro 8. Some of the Surface Pro 8’s features include its new slim-bezel display, support for haptics with Surface Slim Pen 2, and a removable SSD.

Tips for finding Windows 11 ready devices

We can’t possibly list all the Windows 11 devices, though we wish we could, but we have some advice on how you can find one. Most retailers have a “filter” option on the results page when searching for laptops. Be sure to choose “Windows 11” under the “Operating System” section to filter our Windows 10 devices. Of course, also keep your price and other factors in mind, too. Happy shopping, everyone!
