New Batman Arkham Knight trailer showcases Nightwing, Robin, and Catwoman co-op gameplay

Batman Arkham Allies coming to Xbox One and Windows 8.1 PC, June 23rd

The latest trailer for Batman Arkham Knight has recently landed on YouTube and it looks like it will be the best Batman on Xbox One and Windows PC yet. Set for a June 23rd release, Arkham Knight has a number of Arkham villains, including Two-Face and Scarecrow, as well as Batman sidekicks like Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman. Arkham Knight uses a new type of gameplay mode, called Dual Play. According to Warner Bros., Dual Play will allow Batman and and his allies to “seamlessly switch between The Dark Knight and his allies including Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, and Azrael in free-flow combat.”

I don’t know how Dual Play will work out whilst in combat, but it may be a lot like the character-switching in GTA V; although on a much faster pace. Arkham Knight was originally slated to be released in 2014, but as what has happened with other next-gen games, its release was pushed back to June 23rd, 2015. Azrael is also shown in the Arkham Knight trailer, but it is not know yet if he is with Batman or against him.

Allies appears to be an even darker storyline than previous Arhkam Knight titles. According to Gamespot, Arkham Knight game director, Seth Hillspoke, Rocksteady founder, said that Warner Bros had “issues” with certain cutscenes and may need to be cut. Hillspoke stated that losing the cutscenes would essentially stop Arkham Knight from being released at all;

“We’re not including gratuitous blood or swearing. We want to deliver a true end with no compromises, and it takes us to some dark places.”

Here is the trailer for Batman Arkham Knight.
