The release of the Q4 FY2016 earnings report had some exciting news for investors, particularly when it came to Azure services. Intelligent cloud services grew significantly by nearly $6.7 billion, nearly 7% from last quarter. With the largest growth reported in the Q4 FY 2016 report, Azure blasted through the year with a total of 102% increase. This means that Azure usage spread more than doubled since Q4 FY 2015.

Seems like Microsoft’s creed of ‘cloud first, mobile first’ is still paying off. In fact, the Azure team just celebrated the release of their quicker and more efficient Azure Premium Messaging service. The roadmap for Azure is clear as day and with revenue like this, it’s likely a bright future for Microsoft’s intelligent cloud.
