Matthew Thomson Senior Product Manager, Azure Big Compute has taken to the Microsoft Azure blog to announce that Azure Marketplace has gotten a new TIBCO DataSynapse option. The option was available starting yesterday and expands on the HPC burst work Microsoft has been working on over the last few months with DataSynapse customers.

According to Matthew, TIBCO DataSynapse GridServer is “a service execution platform for dynamically scaling any application at any time across grid infrastructure. ” GridServer is also used in fields such as Financial Services for parallel computing certain risk calculations, and will ultimately allow Microsoft to “extend the possibilities by giving infrastructure flexibility, increased scalability and cost control.” Available via a pay-as-you-go Marketplace image, it is intended for those who already have a GridServer DataSynapse installation on-premises and wish to extend the environment beyond its current capacity into Azure.

For the complete details and the technical aspects on the availability be sure to head over to this official Microsoft Azure webpage. Once you’ve checked it out, be sure to come back to WinBeta and let us know what you think by dropping us a comment in the section below.
