Auslogics Disk Defrag 4 Beta makes defragging your hard drive fun again

Ron

I’ll admit, defragmenting a hard drive is not fun, takes time, and eats up resources. But not anymore. Auslogics is nearly ready to unleash Disk Defrag 4, which efficiently optimizes your PC and makes it very easy and fun in the process.

Auslogics Disk Defrag 4 has a very nice interface that makes you want to explore every single feature the program has to offer. The user interface is clearly organized and very colorful. So whether you are a hardcore computer nerd or a first time defragger, Disk Defrag 4 makes it very easy to optimize your computer.

What about the disk defrag tool in Windows? Well, not only is the defrag tool in Windows pretty boring but it also does not optimize your hard drive’s file system like Disk Defrag 4 does. This software will not only defragment free space, but also move system files to the fastest part of the disk and clear the MFT Reserved Zone from regular files. Disk Defrag 4 can even defragment large multi-terabyte volumes.

Disk Defrag 4 also merges free space into a large contiguous block during the optimization process that pretty much prevents file fragmentation.

Ok, but defragmenting a hard drive takes up resources! Well, not with Disk Defrag 4. This software will work in real-time while your computer is idle. Disk Defrag 4 uses very little system resources and can defrag your hard drives in the background and you won’t even notice it. The tool includes a resource management profile to adjust the defrag settings during certain events, such as the launch of a certain program, or if the battery level is at a particular percentage. In other words, you can pause or cancel a defrag while playing a certain game or if your CPU reaches a certain load percentage.

To go a step further, lets say you only want to defragment a single folder or a group of files. Disk Defrag 4 will allow you to defragment only the files you want. There is even a Defrag Wizard that will choose the appropriate settings and schedule for your defragging needs.

The bottom line is that Auslogics has created one hell of a high-end defrag tool, way better than the defrag tool in Windows. If you are looking for a tool that is highly configurable, loaded with tons of features, and even makes it fun to defrag a hard drive, Disk Defrag 4 is for you.

Right now, you can download Disk Defrag 3.3 for free, and 4.0 will soon be available to the masses.
