Poll: Are you bothered by “ads” in Windows 10?

Windows ad Do Great Things

With promotions for OneDrive in File Explorer, promoted apps in the Start Menu and the Share pane, “get Windows 10,” and ads on the lockscreen, in the Action Center, and seemingly just about everywhere else, Microsoft has taken a liking to placing “ads” within Windows.

This hasn’t set too well with some users, who see an operating system as kind of a sacred place, or at least an ad-free one. Not that Microsoft hasn’t been enamored with ads for a long time, remember that parody ad Steve Ballmer starred in for Windows 1.0?

So what do you think, do “ads” in Windows 10 bother you? Has Microsoft crossed a line already, or is it ok to promote Windows features inside Windows 10? Will we soon be seeing ads for Ford and L’Oreal inside Windows? Have we gone to hell in a handbasket?
