Microsoft is slated to release nine security updates today, for April’s Patch Tuesday, and these updates affect all versions Internet Explorer ranging from Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 10, on various Windows editions. These updates will be available around 1PM Eastern time today.

During April’s Patch Tuesday, Microsoft will release two critical updates and seven important updates totalling nine security updates. One of the updates address vulnerabilities in various editions of Internet Explorer on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows RT, and Windows 8. The other set of updates deal with Office, Antimalware software, Windows, and Windows Server.

These updates deal with Remote Code Execution as well as Elevation of Privilege. We also expect to see updates for the Surface RT and Surface Pro. Keep an eye out later today for these updates on Windows Update, unless you are set to receive these updates automatically via Automatic Updates.
