Apple takes a shot at Microsoft’s Windows 8, says it won’t be pleasing to the user

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, who took over the job from Steve Jobs, has recently made some negative comments about Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 8 operating system. In regards to having a hybrid tablet/desktop operating system, Cook refers to it as combing “a toaster and a refrigerator.”

“You can converge a toaster and a refrigerator, but those aren’t going to be pleasing to the user.” As far as Apple is concerned when it comes to creating an operating system similar to Windows 8’s tablet/desktop hybrid nature, “we are not going to that part, but others might from a defensive point of view.” Funny thing to note, didn’t Apple tout the new iOS operating system to be similar to the OSX desktop operating system a while back?
