Windows 10 Mobile update

Chinese smartphone company Alcatel, famed for its low-cost products, will be making a phone for Windows 10 soon. According to an interview with CNET, Alcatel’s senior vice president for North America, Steve Cistulli, stated that Alcatel is “very supportive of the Windows ecosystem,”
This confirmation comes not long after the appearance of a leak from Evan Blass, who used his Twitter page to show off the specifications of the “Alcatel Onetouch Fierce XL.” Cistulli declined to comment on the leak in his interview with CNET, but since it came just two days before the confirmation of an Alcatel Windows phone, it’s likely that the leak is accurate.

The smartphone market has been very slow to adopt Windows phones, with the OS only taking about 4% of the market share. With another manufacturer working at selling the operating system to people, hopefully Windows 10 for mobile can start to take off. Alcatel plans to release an affordable Windows 10 smartphone soon in the United States through at least one carrier, running for a reasonable price.
