A 4.7-inch Windows Phone handset spotted on Zauba

A flagship Windows Phone handset is not launching anytime soon, but the software giant is not letting go of the budget-friendly segment of the market so easily. Microsoft launched two affordable handsets back at the Mobile World Congress in March, and is apparently testing another new Windows Phone handset in India, as revealed by the import records at Zauba.

The company is apparently testing a 4.7-inch single SIM device with the per unit price of INR 4,578 and a model number of RM-1127. Do note that it’s the per unit price of the smartphone, and not the official retail price. The official retail price will be higher than the listed one, but it’s definitely an entry-level device.

There’s no word about which handset it will be, but since it’s under testing, it may take a few more months before it’s ready for prime time. We’ll update you if we hear anything more about the handset.
