The new Halo app will also be releasing on September 8, 2016, along with the Halo 5: Forge app for Windows 10. Brian Albrecht, Executive Producer of the Halo franchise, also known as Mellow Sparky, was excited to share this new Halo experience on Windows 10.

“As we were working on Halo 5: Forge for Windows 10 PCs, we asked ourselves, “how can we do more to bring the Halo ecosystem closer to our fans on PCs?” and “how can we do more to open the door now and in the future for our PC gamers?” The Halo app will be the quickest and easiest way to find, download, and launch all Halo games that are available on Windows PCs. It will also be a great way to get the latest news, videos, tutorials, featured content, update notes and more from the Halo universe on your PC. Our vision is for the Halo app to become the best way for our fans to get the latest information and details about all of our games, both past, present, and future.

The Halo app will bring you all the latest news and information on what’s happening in our world – from new stories to esports, from awesome collectibles to the latest game articles and videos. And it will be the place to go for tips and tricks from both our team and the broader Halo community.”

The Halo app and the Halo 5: Forge app will be available for free in the Windows Store on September 8, 2016.
