  1. Full-Screen mode can now recognize and extract text from tables.
  2. Grab Frame mode allows users to add, remove, resize, and adjust the lines as they see fit. There are now more advanced search capabilities added, including a menu to add additional quick actions and options.

  4. Quick Simple Look Up adds “Hold CTRL+ALT to launch Right-side value if it is a valid URI.”

Text Grab is a quick and easy app available on GitHub that uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) built into Windows to grab any on-screen text. It doesn’t need to run in the background and doesn’t require an internet connection. It was designed to be easy to use and efficient, allowing users to be more productive on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Text Grab can be used to grab text from pictures, PDFs, applications, videos, websites, and any combination of the above. It has four different modes: Full-Screen Mode, Grab Frame mode, Edit Text Window, and Quick Simple Lookup.

There’s a new update out, bringing the version number to 3.2, announced by app creator Joe Finney on Twitter.

The app stores the copied text in the Windows Clipboard History and can be accessed by using Windows key + V.
