Earlier today, Microsoft announced that more people will get access to see personalized news and interests in the Windows 10 Taskbar. While this is a great addition for some people, others might find this feature as an unneeded distraction. If you don’t want this feature and want to turn it off, here’s what you need to do to.

Turn off News and Interests

This feature might be great for some people, but others might not be as pleased. So here’s what you need to do to quickly and easily rid your desktop of the feature on Windows 10.

1. Right-click anywhere on the taskbar
2. Go to News and Interestsnews and interests
3. Choose Turn off to turn it off

That’s it you are done! There are other options available, including the ability to turn off “Open on hover” and the ability to “reduce taskbar updates,” but the best advice is to turn it off to prevent too much clutter on your desktop. Don’t worry if you don’t have this feature yet, Microsoft will roll it out automatically for Windows 10 users soon. At least now, you know what to do to turn this feature off.
