Windows 10's Quick Actions toggles are a convenient way to adjust your device's configuration without having to open the full Settings app. You can change the toggles that are displayed and rearrange their order, letting you put your most frequently accessed settings in the top row so they're always on view.
Your Quick Actions display is at the bottom of Windows 10's Action Center notification tray, opened with the icon on the far-right of the taskbar or the Win+A keyboard shortcut. By default, only the first row of toggles will be displayed. You can show the rest by clicking the "Expand" link.
On a new PC, Windows will automatically add the most commonly used controls for functions like WiFi, Bluetooth, location settings and brightness. You can add more – or remove ones you don't use – by opening the Settings app to the "System" category and browsing to the "Notifications & actions" page. Under "Quick actions," you'll see a representation of your enabled toggles. Click the "Add or remove quick actions" link to choose the Quick Actions you want to use.
On this screen, you'll see a list of all the Quick Actions that are available on your device. You might not have access to them all if your device doesn't support a particular feature. Some may be turned off by default, such as the "Tablet mode" and "Flight mode" options on desktop PCs. Click the button next to any of the options to toggle it between on and off. If it's turned on, it will show up in Action Center's rows of Quick Actions next time you open the pane.
Once you've enabled the Quick Actions you want to use, you can rearrange them by returning to the main "Notifications & actions" screen. You can drag your Quick Actions around to change their position in the grid. Click or tap and hold to move a toggle. The others will reflow around it when it's released. You can repeat the procedure to create the exact layout you're looking for.
These convenience options let you customise one of Windows 10's most useful interface features to include additional functionality. They also let you arrange your Quick Actions so your favourite ones aren't hidden by default. The same features are available on Windows 10 Mobile where the Quick Actions appear at the top of Action Center.
