In order to completely uninstall Microsoft Teams from your PC, you need to do more than just uninstall the Windows 10 app in Control Panel. Microsoft won’t let you uninstall its software features that easily. Of course, if you are looking to get Microsoft Teams completely off your PC, you have to repeat the following process for all users on a machine, including administrators.
Alternatively, administrators can stop the installation of Microsoft Teams before it is automatically installed as part of Office 365. Either way, Microsoft makes it more difficult to remove its apps from your PC. Microsoft reveals that you have to remove both “Microsoft Teams” and “Teams Machine-Wide Installer.”
It’s also necessary to point out that Microsoft Teams is installed automatically as a part of Office 365. So even if you don’t think you installed Microsoft Teams, you might still have Microsoft Teams still lurking somewhere on your machine.

- Click on the Start button, Go to Settings > Apps
- Under Apps & features, search for “teams” as shown in the screenshot below.
- Highlight Microsoft Teams, click Uninstall and follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
- Highlight Teams Machine-Wide Installer, click Uninstall and follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
