Unboxing and hands-on with the new HP Stream 7 running Windows 8.1

Windows 8.1

HP has a new mini-tablet on the block, being the Stream 7. The HP Stream 7 is a 7-inch tablet running Windows 8.1 with Bing, meaning it can run full desktop applications. The device retails for $99/£99 directly from HP or the Microsoft Store and comes with 1 year of Office 365 and 1TB of OneDrive Storage. It’s a deal you can’t afford to miss!

The Stream 7 includes 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded with MicroSD. The device has an Intel Atom Z3735G clocked at 1.33Ghz, meaning the device performs well with web browsing and general app use. The screen runs at 1280×800, which isn’t the highest resolution in the world, but considering how small the screen is, pixels aren’t viewable and the screen looks super crisp. Here at WinBeta, we’re liking the HP Stream 7, it’s small and very cool for doing light office work and web browsing.

We’ve made a quick unboxing and hands on video of the device which we’ve embedded above. Make sure you check it out and let us know what you think regarding the device. I will be writing a full review on the device soon, so if you’re interested in purchasing said device stay tuned for that.
