Whether it be listening to your favorite song on the radio, singing in the shower, or being live at a concert, nothing sweeps over us with a variety of emotions like music.

Let’s take a quick look at the top five free music apps available in the Windows Phone Store. First up, the top free music app — Podcasts. With just a few taps, you can search, subscribe, and listen to your favorite podcasts — including ours!

Pandora comes in second place, with Spotify in third place and Shazam in fourth place. Ringtone Maker rounds out the top five and is an app that lets you create ringtones and notification alerts from the music on your phone. Pretty cool! It has an average rating of 3.2.

There are quite a number of music apps in the Windows Phone Store, like SoundCloud+, TuneIn Radio, Slacker Radio, Beats Music, and more. Interestingly enough, Microsoft’s own Groove Music is nowhere to be found in the top free apps list, likely because it’s an integrated app. We’ve added download links below for the top five free music apps — grab them if you don’t already have them installed!
