The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase for 2022 did not disappoint, with a slew of game reveals and trailers focusing on games coming to Xbox in the next 12 months, with the words “Game Pass” featuring heavily. Here are some of the best highlights from the event.

Redfall

The show opened with a fresh look at Redfall gameplay. We were treated to some gunplay before the trailer shifted to some story setup. We also got a look at the game’s four playable characters. Without a doubt Redfall is shaping up to be one of the hottest releases for next year.

Forza Motorsport

We finally got an in-depth look at the new Forza Motorsport game set to release in spring 2023. The segment gave us a lot of info about the game, which up until today had been very much an unknown. The fan-favorite Maple Valley Speedway was the focus of much of the video, and the next-gen racer has us deeply impressed to say the least.

Diablo IV

The showcase gave us an extensive look at Diablo IV. The game will introduce a new character class – the Necromance – in addition to nearly 150 dungeons that can be turned into frienldy settlements upon completion! The video also highlighted the game’s extensive character creator system and open world.

Minecraft Legends

The Minecraft Legends reveal trailer was one of the stars of the show, offering us the first look at Mojang Studio’s upcoming action-strategy game. This promises to be the next evolution in the Minecraft universe, and the trailer really delivers what a next-gen Minecraft game will look like.

Starfield

No doubt this is what many of us were hoping to see most. And the event delivered with an in-depth look at one of the most anticipated games in recent years. The extensive trailer showed off some in-game footage – something that had up til now been sorely lacking.

And just wait until you see what Bethesda has in store for us with this game. Todd Howard promises that not only will players be able to build their own outposts, but they will also be able to custom-build their own spaceships – which they of course can fly to any of the multiple solar systems and more-than-1000 planets in the game!

All this and more was revealed in the exciting Starfield trailer that capped of the show. And now we can’t wait for 2023 to hurry up and get here so we can finally get our hands on this game. Don’t forget to check out our full recap of the day’s festivities!
