There are a lot of new Windows 10 business apps that are available in the Windows Store. Productivity and profit are the hallmarks of business and there are many Windows 10 apps available to handle almost every business need. Here’s a look at the five most popular and free business apps for Windows 10.
GoToMeeting is a free, video conferencing app for businesses to view and share slide presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and more while communicating with team members. GoToMeeting allows you to see everyone that is invited to the meeting and speak to them about any current or ongoing business projects.
Other GoToMeeting features include the ability to share your device’s browser, documents, or other content from other Windows 10 apps, including ShareFile, Dropbox and OneDrive. If you don’t have access to a webcam or are just looking to listen in, you can connect using just your phone to dial in and connect to the GoToMeeting session.
In order to host GoToMeeting sessions, you are required to download the GoToMeeting desktop application, available for Windows and Mac users.

While there is no longer a dedicated PayPal app for Windows 10, PayPal Here remains a mobile POS (point-of-sale) app for small businesses or anyone out looking to provide an alternate way to pay. PayPal Here offers users a free dongle to get started (charges a 2.7% fee per transaction) and is available for Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile, and other platforms.
PayPal Here can also handle your back-office needs on your Wcomputer or mobile device, track you all your payments, allows you to send invoices, run sales reports, and more. You can have one PayPal business account and create guest accounts and set permissions, allowing your employees to use to handle customers.
getHired is a simple job search app that tries to find you a job from a variety of job boards, including SimplyHired, Indeed, CareerJet, LinkUp, JuJu, CareerBuilder, USAJobs and JobServe. You can base your job search on what kind of job you want, where it’s located, and more to find the job of your dreams.
Only job app that is mysteriously missing on Windows 10 is a LinkedIn app. There is a LinkedIn app on Windows 10 Mobile, but not Windows 10. Seems strange that Microsoft buys LinkedIn, but fails to properly support a Windows 10 LinkedIn UWP app. Maybe Microsoft is waiting on feedback from LinkedIn Learning before releasing a Windows 10 app, but nothing is certain with Microsoft when it comes to Windows 10 apps.
Microsoft Power BI
Microsoft Power BI is a cloud-based analytics service for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile (along with other platforms) that harnesses the power of Microsoft Azure. Microsoft Power BI is a relatively new app in the Windows Store and allows you to view your business data and get live access to your dashboards, reports, and KPI monitors on your Windows 10 computer, tablet, or mobile device. If you are lucky enough to have one, you can even use the Power BI app on your Microsoft HoloLens.
You can connect your data, see valuable insights, and share everything with your business team. Power BI app features also include the ability to view your data in interactive charts, maps, graphs, and more.
